ADULT Ministry

Mustang United Methodist Church offers a number of Adult Sunday School Classes for you to choose from. The classes are attended by a variety of age groups and each class offers a different Bible study, with some focusing on life application lessons while others go into in-depth readings of the Scripture.

Agape led by Heather Kramer.

We are a diverse group seeking to grow in relationship with Christ and each other by exploring and discussing scripture, praying, serving, and sharing life together. People of all ages and in all stages of life are welcdome to join. This class meets in rooms 7 and 8 of the Sanctuary Building, across the hall from the Overflow Worship room.

Builders led by Bill Edwards, Lou Templeton and other guest teachers.

A class is for people of all ages. No reason to be concerned about advanced preparation or falling behind on a lesson, just bring your Bible and join in at any time! Studies and Lessons are biblically based. Class consists of experienced learners, ages 35-90. Join us as we study "THE BOOK." Couples for Christ led by Greg and Anita LaPat.

A diverse group made up of singles, married couples, parents and grandparents. Study materials include the Bible and other books by Christian authors, but all lessons and discussion are founded on the Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The group engages in as many of the ministries and mission outreaches of the church as they can. The class meets in the sanctuary building, in the Overflow Worship room.

The Eagles led by Scott Gibson.

This small group is made up of a wide ranges of ages whose members are seeking to grasp the "Fundamentals of Faith" as the foundation upon which the build their lives. Class meets in rooms 25 of the Family Life Center.

God, You, and Me (G.Y.M.) led by Joe Nelson.

An interactive discussion of scriptures and current events with plenty of coffee and snacks. Quarterly events and a mission outreach project or two scattered throughout the year. Whether a novice or a "polished" theologian, one will walk away being feed. This class meets in rooms 4 and 5 of the Sanctuary Building. The Messengers led by Steve and Jerri Rose.

The class is for those age 39 and older. The group studies the Scriptures and share fellowship not only on Sunday Mornings, but in frequent other events. The Messengers meet on the second floor of the Youth Center.

Travelers led by Shane and Kristi Watkins.

Travelers is a Sunday School class that is open to all ages and is comprised of singles, dating couples, newlyweds, along with couples who have been married for many years. Some of our families have children ranging from newborn to college years and beyond. The format is real life application of Biblical principals and open discussion of issues is welcomed and encouraged. The class meets on the second floor of the Family Life Center, in the Children's Ministry Area.

United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men also meet regularly.

Our Missions team coordinates local, national, and international projects to help those in need. We encourage anyone interested in helping others to join our team. One of our main missions at Mustang United Methodist Church is Skyline Urban Ministry. The fourth Saturday of each month, a group from Mustang UMC provides food and servers for a weekly meal and joins in a worship service in downtown Oklahoma City.

Stephen Ministry is comprised of members of our congregation who listen, care, encourage, and provide confidential emotional and spiritual support to people who are facing a crisis or going through tough times. This group is led by Charlene Halverson. Stephen Ministers are seeking new trainees. Below is a link to the Stephen Ministries website.
